About the 2007 Fireworks

The 2007 Fireworks event will be on the evening of July 4 at 10:15 PM. The show will bring an exciting variety of music and styles to the event. The show will be carried on SGTV, (the City of Saginaw government channel) and WNEM our local CBS affiliate. The music will be simulcast over WSGW, Newsradio 790.

The fireworks are shot from the north end of Ojibway Island. A centerpiece of the fireworks has become the "waterfall" of fireworks, shot from the Holland Street Bridge. The show lasts approximately 30 minutes. The show may be seen from anywhere along the Saginaw River, with the best viewing spots being the parking lot of Danaher Motion and the Court Street Bridge.

Our pyrotechnician is Frank Loffredo, master pyrotechnician, of Colonial Fireworks. Mr. Loffredo has been involved in some of the most spectacular shows in North America, including the rededication of the Statue of Liberty, Thunder over Louisville, and the Washington DC celebration welcoming the troops home from Desert Storm. Mr. Loffredo comes from a long line of pyrotechnicians. His father and uncle are still actively involved in the fireworks business.
